COPYRIGHT POLICY

PLAIN-LANGUAGE SUMMARY FIRST, LAWYER TEXT BELOW

TL;DR

We host no commercial game files — you bring your own legally owned copies. Directly playable titles are homebrew or freely licensed, credited to their authors. Rights holders can request a review or removal at any time.

1. NO COMMERCIAL GAME FILES ON OUR SERVERS

OldGamesHub does not provide commercial ROM downloads and does not host commercial game files of any kind. We never distribute, stream, or store a copy of a commercial game on our servers. If a title is under commercial copyright, we do not serve its game file — not in whole, not in part.

2. YOU BRING YOUR OWN FILES

For commercial titles, OldGamesHub only works with game files you already own a legal copy of. You load your own game file into the browser emulator yourself. That file is read locally by your browser and is never uploaded to us, sent to our servers, or seen by anyone else. It stays on your device.

3. WHAT COMMERCIAL GAME PAGES ARE FOR

Pages for commercial games on this site exist for metadata, compatibility, and preservation information only: release year, developer, publisher, platform, and a short description. They document that a game existed and how it can be played with a file you already own. They are not a source of the game itself.

4. DIRECTLY PLAYABLE GAMES

The only titles you can play directly on OldGamesHub without loading your own file are homebrew games and other freely-licensed games. These are credited to their original authors on their game pages. Everything else requires you to load your own file.

5. RIGHTS HOLDERS

If you are a rights holder and believe any content on OldGamesHub is inaccurate, inappropriate, or should be reviewed or removed, we take that seriously. See ourtakedown processfor how to request a review, or contact us directly atcontact@oldgameshub.com.
