A fast, difficult side-scrolling action game following ninja Ryu Hayabusa, notable for its cinematic story cutscenes shown between stages, an uncommon feature for NES games. Ryu can stick to walls and use sub-weapons alongside his sword. Its steep difficulty curve became one of its defining traits.
