A larger, more varied sequel with a hub-world map letting players tackle six themed zones in almost any order to collect golden coins and reclaim Mario's castle from Wario. It introduced Wario as a character for the first time. Its stages are longer and more mechanically varied than those of the original Super Mario Land.
